Professional Lawn Care in Sumpter Township, MI

Sumpter Township sits in southwestern Wayne County, a short drive southwest of our Wayne home base on Niagara Street. Sumpter is one of the most rural corners of the county, with many homes on acre-plus lots, working fields, and wooded property lines along Sumpter Road, Willis Road, Bemis Road, and Rawsonville Road. We mow and maintain properties from the township center near Sumpter and Willis roads out to the historic Martinsville and Rawsonville areas, and we understand the wide-open lawns that come with this part of the county. Crosswinds Marsh Wetland Interpretive Preserve, the largest park in the Wayne County system, anchors the township's southeast side near New Boston, and the families who live throughout the Van Buren Public Schools community count on us for clean, even cuts every visit. Larger Sumpter lots need more than a push mower and a quick pass, so our crew brings the right equipment and a steady schedule to keep these big rural lawns looking sharp from spring green-up through fall cleanup.

About Sumpter Township, Michigan

Sumpter Township is 37.44 square miles of farmland, woodlot and marsh in the southwest corner of Wayne County, roughly midway between Detroit and Ann Arbor and mailing from a Belleville address. It carries a misspelled name because the clerk who engrossed the 1840 act added a p to General Thomas Sumter, and the error never came out. Four school districts divide the township, none of them keeps a building inside it, and its best-known feature is a marsh with nine miles of trail and an equestrian path.
